Gift Tumwebaze knows firsthand how difficult it can be for a girl to pursue her dreams. After losing her parents at a young age, she worked on farms to meet her basic school needs and often missed classes because she lacked the resources to stay in school.
Her journey changed when she received support that opened the door to university and a brighter future. Today, Gift is turning that experience into a mission - creating opportunities for vulnerable girls to learn, grow, gain skills and become self-reliant.
We support vulnerable girls to access quality education and stay in school, giving them the opportunity to pursue their dreams and build a brighter future.
Through vocational training, mentorship, and practical skills such as tailoring, baking, catering, and hairdressing, we help girls develop the confidence and abilities to become self-reliant.
Nuvella is working toward a safe and supportive Girls’ Centre where vulnerable girls can learn, grow, receive guidance, and develop the skills they need to participate positively in their families and communities.
We support vulnerable girls to access quality education and overcome the financial and social barriers that can prevent them from completing their studies.
We equip girls with practical skills such as tailoring, baking, catering, and hairdressing, helping them develop opportunities for independent livelihoods.
We create spaces where girls can understand their worth, appreciate their identity, build confidence, and develop the knowledge they need to navigate life and their communities.
Our programs promote personal hygiene and menstrual health awareness, helping girls make informed decisions and maintain their dignity and wellbeing.
